Burnout Isn’t a Badge of Honor; It’s a Warning Sign

I used to think feeling drained at work was just part of being “successful.” If I was exhausted, anxious, and constantly pushing through, I must be doing something right.
Somewhere between the never-ending to-do lists, the Sunday night dread, and the guilt every time I took a break, I realized something:
It’s not supposed to be this way. Let’s Be Honest About What We’re Tolerating
It’s easy to normalize this cycle:
Drowning in tasks you barely care about
Counting down minutes until Friday
Flinching every time your email pings
Feeling bad for resting, even when you desperately need it
We’re told this is just “how it is”, but it doesn’t have to be.

What If Work Felt Different?
Challenges that actually light you up
A schedule that leaves space to breathe
A workplace that respects your boundaries
A paycheck that doesn’t cost your peace
If that feels far away right now, it’s not because something’s wrong with you. It’s because so many of us have been taught to perform, produce, and push through, instead of pausing and listening.
A Small Reframe to Try
Take a moment today and ask yourself:
Where in my workday do I feel myself tightening up or shutting down, and how might I respond with care instead of pushing harder?”
Sometimes, even naming the thing is the first step to changing it.
It’s Not You. It’s the Way Work Was Built
If you’re constantly tired, it doesn’t mean you’re lazy, unmotivated, or not cut out for your job. It might mean you’ve outgrown the version of success you were handed. You don’t have to figure it all out alone. If you ever want support unpacking what work could look like for you, we offer tools and systems.
You Don’t Have to Stay Stuck
The truth is: you can reclaim your energy, your confidence, and your direction.
That’s what OOO-Marketing/coaching is all about, helping people get clarity. Together, we untangle the beliefs and patterns that have kept you in survival mode and start building a version of work (and life) that actually fits you.
✨ If you're tired of just surviving the workweek, I’d love to help you find a new way.
